Maisie Rowe has been trawling through the back issues

• CONGRATULATIONS and thanks to Maisie Rowe, who organised your excellent exhibition at the Holborn Library.

It was most enjoyable and I spent over an hour there, recognising a number of familiar faces like Frank Dobson and Peggy Jay, both sadly passed on.

I hope that the exhibition dates can be extended and well publicised as it is such an education to see how it all started.

It is a shame that former editor Eric Gordon is no longer around to see it and take pride in what has been achieved.

The individual contributions from your three principal reporters were most amusing and gave a real taste of the frantic newsroom atmosphere.
