The proposed boundary change could be a boon for ‘Camden Town’

‘Let’s put the Town back into Camden Town!’
• HAVING a parliamentary constituency called Camden Town and St John’s Wood, as is being proposed by the Boundary Commission, does have at least one advantage, (Hampstead split in two on new political map, June 10).
Camden Town will gain a higher profile and, seeing and hearing the proper geographical name of our town, may inspire some – the BBC, the national press and even local retailers, banks and residents – to stop calling Camden Town by the borough’s name, Camden.
Does anyone ever refer to Kentish Town as plain Kentish or to Gospel Oak as Gospel? Let’s put the Town back into Camden Town!
