The people overseeing our schools are in denial
Thursday, 11th May 2017
• YOUR front-page lead, (Why did 30 staff quit [Edith Neville] school? April 27), and councillor Angela Mason’s patronising response (Camden Council thinks highly of Edith Neville primary, May 4) perfectly demonstrate the value of a vigorous, independent local press.
It was topical, not “old” as Cllr Mason wrote. For a small primary to lose 30 staff in three years may be embarrassing for Cllr Mason – not that she admits it, despite being cabinet member for children – but it can only be disastrous for young children, who need above all continuity and teachers who know them.
Apparently the people who should be overseeing our schools are in denial, so your reporting is more important than ever – keep it up!
