Human rights have been denied
Friday, 21st May 2021
• WE are socialists from Camden who took part in last Saturday’s march / rally and support the Palestinian people.
Palestine has been illegally occupied by Israel for 54 years. Their basic human rights have been denied.
A crisis has been reached this month, since the forcible expulsion of Palestinians from their homes in Sheikh Jarrah, attacks on worshippers at the Al Aqsa Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan, and the mass bombing this week that caused the deaths of over 212 Palestinians including 61 children in Gaza.
Twenty-two Palestinians have also been killed in the occupied West Bank. Israel has reported 10 deaths including two children during this conflict.
There is a National Demonstration for Palestine on Saturday May 22. Those who support the Palestinian struggle are welcome to join it.
Please wear face masks. Protesters will assemble at Victoria Embankment at 1pm and march to Speakers’ Corner, Hyde Park. Some of us will be meeting at Kentish Town station to go to the demo as a group at 11.30am.
We call on all political parties in the UK to immediately recognise the state of Palestine. We demand an end to Israel’s illegal occupation, its colonial settlements, and the siege of Gaza.
