Attack on the NHS

• I THOUGHT Sharon Lytton’s letter (The NHS is the prize of the century and we are the mugs, October 28) was the best analysis of the attack on the National Health Service I have ever read.

It explained very succinctly exactly how the NHS is being destroyed, and by whom.

It stands out in contrast to the failure of Sir Keir Starmer and the shadow health secretary John Ashworth to make any impact; in fact, failure to do the job of the Opposition.

Ms Lytton’s letter is exactly what the Opposition should be saying loud and clear, and I have no doubt that if Jeremy Corbyn were still leader they would be.

Although I’m not sure that even Jeremy could put it quite as well as Ms Lytton does.
