The idea for a new nature discovery area in Waterlow Park is being considered

Thursday, 17th March 2022

• THERE has been significant concern expressed in responses to a consultation and a petition about a proposal for a new nature discovery area in a small wooded area in the upper part of Waterlow Park, (Plans to fence off part of Waterlow Park are wrong, February 24).

Levels of public engagement in the consultation have been high and responses will be carefully considered and taken into account in determining the next steps.

The Friends of Waterlow Park will be releasing updates on the consultation and how the proposal might evolve.

It is clear the park occupies a very special place at the heart of the community. Many park users are volunteers engaging in different aspects of park life such as gardening, biodiversity and physical exercise.

And there are many groups and organisations involved with the life of the park for people to engage with.
