Ryness on Camden High Street

• I WAS heartbroken to find Ryness lighting and electrical shop has closed down on Camden High Street. I feel the high street has lost a very bright business that has brought light to regular customers for nearly half a decade.

Small and medium sized businesses that are integral to our community life are closing down in droves because of extortionate rent increases: apparently by as much as 30 per cent per year!

Such decent businesses are replaced by the ubiquitous chains, charity shops and fried chicken shops. How sad. Thankfully Ryness in Goodge Street is still open! Who knows how long they’ll survive.
