The family homes tax is an unjust policy
Thursday, 25th May 2017
• THE Labour candidate for Hampstead and Kilburn, Tulip Siddiq, is standing on a manifesto that includes a family homes tax.
This tax means that anyone with a home valued at more than £425,000 will face a vast inheritance tax bill.
Even those whose homes are just under this threshold will be impacted eventually as their property prices increase in the coming years.
Subsequently this will extend into a large bill for their children when the parents pass away. It is unjust and simply discourages people like me who have worked hard all of our lives.
