Hampstead Heath
• TO walk on Parliament Hill Fields and Hampstead Heath in the afternoon or evening is nowadays like being in a pinball machine.
Runners and joggers are zig-zagging and bobbing up and down in all directions, near and sometimes at speed, breathing heavily and coughing in great numbers.
From a safety point of view, and at 77 years of age, I am afraid of being knocked to the ground, or contracting Covid-19 from what emits from the mouths of these runners.
It’s sad to say that the days of a peaceful walk in that countryfied setting are over.
