• THANK you CNJ for continuing to report on the unflinching effort by Nick Harding to bring about a satisfactory (not) conclusion to Camden’s bungling and obfuscation over lost millions of overage payment for the Talacre development, (Blunder robs Town Hall of millions, June 3).

Without his persistence Camden would never have come clean; even attempting to discredit him as vexatious when he refused to give in. Their arrogance is breathtaking.

Even now, while admitting “fundamental error”, they wash their hands of any responsibility, blaming “The officers who dealt with the land sale left the council many year ago so they can’t be ‘held to account.’”

That’s it then is it? We can just subside back into our reverie safe in the knowledge that all is well with our taxes!
