The councillor should resign now

Thursday, 15th July 2021

• I ATTENDED Queen’s Crescent on Thursday to give feedback to council consultants. Unfortunately they were conspicuous by their absence.

No stallholder or shopkeeper I approached had seen them either. Perhaps they are a figment of Councillor Adam Harrison’s imagination, just like his bogus pre-consultation.

I then trawled through the feedback on the current consultation and found people were overwhelmingly against all the cameras, banana crates and road restrictions.

The people have spoken. Put the streets back as they were. The experiment has failed.

It caused misery to many in the area and achieved raised congestion levels and increased hazards to pedestrians and all road users. The market is on its knees.

A full investigation needs to be carried out into this misuse of public money. Compensation should be paid for loss of business and amenities during this incarceration.

The cost of installation and removal of all works should come out of Labour councillors’ pockets. This should help prevent any more experiments on the public. If Cllr Harrison has an ounce of integrity, he should resign now.
