The costs involved in seeking British citizenship have soared under this government

• CAMDEN Council discussed community cohesion on October 8. One of the best ways of promoting this is to make it easier for people to make the commitment of becoming a British citizen.

Sadly the cost of doing so has soared under this government and vital workers in care homes, NHS or transport find it difficult to meet that cost – around £2,000 per head.

I urge the council to lobby government to simplify the process and make it affordable to all.
