The changes in the sheltered housing service are not wanted

• THE senior managers of Camden’s sheltered housing service continue to impose unwanted changes on the service.

They are doing this regardless of appeals for them to think again from sheltered housing tenants in Highgate, Covent Garden and the Brunswick Centre. (For example see Letters online: Why have they changed the system in the sheltered housing units? May 31).

The key change being imposed upon us is resident sheltered housing managers no longer working primarily in the sheltered housing schemes where they reside.

Resident sheltered housing managers working primarily in the sheltered housing schemes where they reside made Camden’s sheltered housing service excellent for decades.

The service is now being downgraded in a vanity project with a hidden agenda. This vanity project has already been imposed on several sheltered housing schemes in Camden.

Forceful attempts are now being made to impose it on schemes in Highgate, Covent Garden and the Brunswick Centre. We don’t want it.

It may benefit senior sheltered housing managers but sheltered housing tenants are its victims. This is wrong. It must stop!
