In their wisdom they have decided that a small bookshelf in a common area represents a fire hazard.

I wasn’t aware that the literature on display was so incendiary – but thanks to these killjoys a popular amenity will be lost.

Thus ignorance triumphs over learning. Thanks bureaucrats.
