• WHATEVER the motives of the artist tagging the homeless and painting them and people can bid on them and they are tracked, he has brought them out of the shadows and given them a face and a voice (Artist puts homeless up ‘for sale’, November 9).

I think the homeless charities are jealous because they did not think of that idea first.

The charities should be asking councils and housing associations why these people do not qualify for social housing like other people and why most of them die from being homeless and suicide. All homeless charities are a waste of time and should be abolished.

That artist should get a medal from Her Majesty the Queen for highlighting the issue.
