• I READ the New Journal most weeks so of course I read the item in your April 23 issue concerning the Royal Mail “Thumbs Up” campaign.

I have very little knowledge of campaigns and other online initiatives because I do not use any of the internet facilities, not Facebook or Twitter or any of the “platforms” I have heard of.

I would just like to say that my postman, who delivers in Hartland Road, NW1, has been delivering here for a long time, is the most cheerful and pleasant and caring postman anyone could wish for.

I would like him to know that he is very much appreciated. I hope I am not the only “customer” who feels as I do.
