Mansfield Bowling Club members

• I WISH to congratulate the Camden New Journal for casting light on the situation regarding the sale proceeds of Mansfield Bowling Club, (Bowlers at sold off club ask: Where is our money?, October 3).

As a member of the club for many years I had no idea that the directors, Messrs Pruss and Docker, had decided to pay themselves a salary from the sale proceeds.

Mr Pruss talks about being unable to pay the money owed to ordinary members until the process is approved by a court at some time in the future; yet no such approval was sought in regard to the director’s salary payments.

Will directors continue to receive this money while court approval is awaited?
