The Royal Free Hospital

• I WOULD like to congratulate the Royal Free and West Hampstead Medical Centre.

The reason I feel this is important now, is that the National Health Service is under so much pressure and it is extraordinary that this high level of service and attention is available.

Recently I contracted a medical condition, which is very debilitating, and rather complex. Once I first had seen a doctor at West Hampstead Medical Centre (Solent Road), I found three doctors really helpful, available and empathic, and going out of their way to try and help me with diagnosis, tests, referral and prescribing. In addition I found the reception staff helpful and empathic.

During this process I had two appointments with specialists (haematology and rheumatology) at the Royal Free and many, many blood tests there. I have been so impressed with the level of professionalism, attention and eagerness to help that I have written to the hospital with this feedback.
