Thames Water is causing gridlock

Thames Water site in Kentish Town
• HANDS up all who have been stuck in traffic for 20 minutes in Kentish Town because of yet another abandoned Thames Water site?
Last Thursday our bus was delayed 19 minutes between two stops; 40 people were on the bus, including schoolchildren worn out after a long day, cold, tired, needing to get home.
Eventually the bus slowly passed the cause of the gridlock, a deserted Thames Water site blocking a road lane.
On Friday the site was still abandoned (see above). I have seen Thames Water do this all over London. They drill a hole, put barriers round it, then scarper for weeks.
I intend to approach London mayor Sadiq Khan and the London Assembly to ask they insist Thames Water carry out works instead of abandoning them, bringing the city to a standstill.
I want to present testimonies from members of the public badly inconvenienced by Thames Water road delays. Please contact me on Britainsgotnoise@gmail.com if you would like me to include your story – missed trains, late for work, missed a hospital appointment, been nearly run over at shambolic temporary traffic light crossings, or if your schooling or your health has been affected.
Please ask a parent to contact me on your behalf if it is a schooling issue. At present, going to and from school or work via Kentish Town means 40 minutes of your day stuck in traffic. Or three hours 20 minutes a week! Because Thames Water won’t follow up on a job they started.
