• I WOULD like to correct your article of last week (Ball is back in tennis club court as popular coaching pair lose their jobs, July 29).

Only one team (the 2nd ladies’ team) withdrew from the Middlesex League matches in support of the coaches, not four as was stated in the article.

For reasons unrelated to the coaches’ contract ending, the 1st men’s and 1st ladies’ teams weren’t formed; the remaining men’s and ladies’ teams all played their matches.

To add: I’ve been a member there for over five years and hope to be for many more years to come!
