TEAM Purple won the right to parade the winners’ trophy on Wednesday after powering to victory in the annual benchball championships.

Held at the Talacre Community Sports Centre in Kentish Town, it was the Camden Schools Sports Association’s first big event of 2013.

Supported by Sport and Physical activity and NVQ students, the competition proved a huge success with primary schools entering teams of eight, made up of four boys and four girls. The Year 4 and 5 pupils were then mixed up into different teams represented by different colours.
