Team captains help put Gospel Oak on the podium at athletics championships

TEAM captains Ellen Donald and Rufus Poss-Davies helped lead Gospel Oak School to top spot on the podium at the Camden Schools Sports Association Athletics Championships. 

Held at Parliament Hill Fields running track, Rufus will certainly never forget his race day in the sun after winning the boys’ 200m for the fourth year in a row.

He also clocked an amazing time of two minutes, 46 seconds to win the 800m and send supporters of the primary in Mansfield Road wild. 

More than 800 youngsters from 17 schools took part in the annual summer showpiece, which is supported by Camden Sport and Physical Activity Service, 

the Highgate Harriers and the City of London.

Pupils from Christ Church School in Hampstead were also celebrating after winning the Small Schools Trophy.
