Tapping The Admiral opened in the bar formerly know as the Tavern In The Town
ARCHITECTS working on new flats above an award-winning pub insist the work will help safeguard the pub’s future – rather than undermine it.
Tapping The Admiral in Castle Road, Kentish Town, has twice been named pub of the year by beer enthusiasts Camra and has grown in popularity since its renovation and name change by new owners in 2012. Planners are currently reviewing plans for homes to be created in the derelict upstairs floors.
Designers SJT Associates said in proposals sent to the Town Hall that the work would bring the building back to its “former glory”.
