• THANKS for your cover story on catalytic converter thefts (January 23). Ours was stolen from our Lexus parked outside our house in Dartmouth Park in early September.

We didn’t get the car back until the end of November. We just had it stolen again midday parked outside our house last Saturday. We were all home, even the dog who usually barks!

If we replace it again it will only get stolen. I’ve been on the Toyota, Lexus and car forums and there are hundreds of victims of this crime feeling very upset and frustrated.

Thanks for the front-page story and maybe the publicity might help the authorities tackle this crime.
