• I READ about the suicide of a motorcycle courier after his motorcycle was clamped by a bailiff, (Man who killed himself after bailiff visit was ‘stressed’ by traffic ticket debt, April 27).

Clamping the courier’s motorcycle, his means of work, was surely illegal. The law states: “Items or equipment that are necessary for your work are exempt items”, the motor cycle was therefore an exempt item.
