There is also the Mela Bollywood Festival on weekend of August 9th and 10th, celebrating South Asian Heritage month. Both days of the weekend from 1pm – 6pm join a vibrant Bollywood Mela – it’s a weekend of colour, culture, and community.
There is a live stage programme of traditional and contemporary music and dance, live musicians, family crafts, Tuk Tuk and Rikshaw displays and amazing giant walkabout puppets. Expect a live size elephant too! There will be many traders, henna and face painting, yoga and a lot of beautiful craft and shopping. Don’t miss this family joyful celebration.
