THE Coalition Crusaders introduced themselves to the top flight of the Camden Sunday League in style at the weekend when they beat champions Cobden Athletic 3-1 at Hackney Marshes. 

The side which boasts the Challenge Cup – that we proudly sponsor – among the accolades in their trophy cabinet, haven’t lost a match in the Camden Sunday League since joining more than two years ago, winning back-to-back promotion along the way. 

It took them 10 minutes to find a reason to celebrate on Sunday when Mustafa Baskal gave them the lead with a stunning half-volley from the edge of the box. Cobden equalised from the penalty spot but Baskal’s second goal of the game and a strike from Lewis Williams saw the unstoppable Crusaders start their campaign with a 3-1 victory.
