Disused toilets in Kentish Town transformed into underground music studio

A MUSIC production company has asked Camden Council for permission to change the use of their facilities – from a disused toilet in Kentish Town Road into a music studio.
Creation Studios, who have taken a lease from the Town Hall for the long-closed public convenience, have kitted the former toilets out for recording and training.
Now they have asked for retrospective permission.
The staff at Creation have wide experience in the music industry and their new studio has been offering recording and training space since earlier this year.
In a letter to the Town Hall, they wrote: “We provide and facilitate tuition for children, youth and lifelong learners in the form of instrument and production training.”
They add that many of those who use the studio go on to play live at Camden Town venues and beyond and because it is one metre below ground, there are no noise issues.
Last year, a public toilet on Kentish Town Road was converted into a trendy cocktail bar called Ladies and Gentlemen.
