BOYS and girls from Christ Church Primary School in Hampstead were celebrating over Easter after running to victory in the Cross-Country Championships at Parliament Hill Fields.
In a record-breaking turnout more than 1,400 youngsters took part in the annual event, which was organised by the Camden Schools Sports Association, with support from Camden Sport and Physical Activity NVQ students and young sports leaders from William Ellis School in Highgate.
Delighted PE co-ordinator from the primary in Christchurch Hill Jessica Sergeant said: “We are very proud of the children’s success and their good sportsmanship. They trained very hard for the event and we will have to train even harder to keep up our winning streak next year!”
