• I AM beginning to believe that your paper and Camden Council have a tacit acceptance of graffiti vandalism – nearer to my point, encouraging it! (Can do attitude! Artists create graffiti wall, August 9).

The graffiti project in Queen’s Crescent which you report on can only give the green light to the mindless. Most of the walls along the canal have been vandalised with graffiti as have other part of Camden.

The new luxury flats on Camden Road opposite Highstone Mansions have now been daubed beyond cleaning, at the canal level – it looks dreadful. Little or nothing has been done to discourage this mindless behaviour it seems to me – why?
