THERE was plenty to be proud of on Saturday as youngsters from Camden Swiss Cottage started their season in style at the City of Milton Keynes Swimming Club Development Meet in Bletchley.

Among the top pool performers was Ruby Coyle, who struck gold in the 50m and 100m butterfly and in the 400m individual medley. The 10-year-old also scooped silvers in the 50m backstroke and the 50m breaststroke, and a bronze medal in the 50m freestyle.

Club-mate Drew Dill, 11, powered home well-ahead of the field to win the 400m freestyle in a personal best time. She also collected gold in the 100m freestyle, silver in the 100m backstroke and bronze in the 50m freestyle.

There was plenty of family fortunes as Drew’s twin sister Ally took gold in the 100m butterfly and silver in the 400m individual medley.

The gold rush continued with Anna Podurgiel winning the 50m backstroke and the 50m breaststroke. The 11-year-old also picked up a silver medal in the 50m butterfly and a bronze in the 100m freestyle.

Highlighting the strength in depth at Swiss Cottage, Aaron Waring, 10, won golds in the 400m freestyle and the 50m breaststroke, as well as taking silver in the 50m backstroke.

There was also a string of gold medals for Chloe Berko-Boateng, Ally Larson, Amelia Sargent, Emma Cvetojevic, Keith Mara, Mikhail Krasnoshchekiy, Gabriel Garcia, Amelia Tong and Emile Barou.
