SPURS travel to Sunderland on Sunday desperate to put their first three points of the season on the board.
With Sunderland having also started badly, the game is the perfect opportunity for Mauricio Pochettino’s men to get a win under their belts.
The coach had a selection boost this week when the club confirmed that new £22million signing Heung-Min Son has been given the required work permits to play in the game following his move from Bayer Leverkusen.
Son was away with South Korea on international duty this week and showed fans his eye for goal by hitting a hat-trick against lowly Laos.
Speaking after the game, he said: “I am very happy that I helped the team win.
“It’s good to build my confidence back up before joining Spurs.”
Fellow new signing Clinton N’Jie may also figure after spending time working on his match fitness with the club’s coaches during the break. He is expected to win a place on the subs’ bench as Poch eases the forward into his team.
Meanwhile, defender Eric Dier has signed a new deal that gives him a pay rise and secures the club his services until 2020.
The 21-year-old has enjoyed a strong start to the season in a new role in the centre of the midfield.
