SPURS FC: The Crow – Zamora merrier for ex-Spurs boys

IF Tuesday night’s game against West Bromwich Albion were a boxing match, it would have been deemed a no contest and their payment withheld.

If I’d have travelled from Birmingham all the way to London on a cold evening and watched my team perform in such a negative way, I’d be asking for my money back.

They showed little ambition to play anything that resembled football and spent most of the night literally kicking the ball back up field when Tottenham attacked.

On the bright side this was a great game for Spurs to win, moving us further away from the baying pack.

We may have struggled with this type of tactical battle in the past and, although it wasn’t an attractive game, winning 1-0 will do.

Shame about the Arsenal, though I must say, an Arsene Wenger interview when they drop points never loses its entertainment value.

He reckons Fulham brought on nippy winger Kerim Frei to help get defender Johan Djourou sent off! Ha, what entertainment, what a crock of rubbish!

I’ll tell you what, let’s change the rules of competitive sport to ensure that if any Arsenal player is on a yellow card, we’ll just stop playing the ball in their direction.

Arsenal had a particularly vocal crowd in that game and to see ex-Spurs striker Bobby Zamora get the winner and ex-Spurs manager Martin Jol smash the boo-boys’ chants back down their throats was fantastic.
