SPURS FC: The Crow – We're on top of the London charts, watching the carnage below

FOR years you’ve flattered to deceive; boasted with impunity; mocked and scorned those misfortunates that hovered below you.

Well look at you now!

It’s said that revenge is a dish best served cold and today this column is freezing!

Therefore this season thou shall endure thy seventh year absent of trophies, while bearing the recriminations of thy brethren.

You’ll undergo the scrutiny of your peers and tolerate suffering like those that have suffered before you.

My sense of apathy requests that I sympathise with your plight, but my knowledge of the enemy does not.

Phew, I got all spiritual then.

It’s great to sit on top of the London charts and watch the carnage below.

Chelsea and Arsenal are in transition and it’s a lovely sight.

How different the dilemmas are: one club has a manager who produces outstanding financial figures throughout the season, has spent nothing and won nothing.

The other, an owner who listens to none, hires and fires on a whim and is supporting probably the only manager out of the last three that Chelsea fans would gladly lose.

However I don’t care!

Not even a loss at the Emirates on Sunday, though I don’t think we will, could cool this article down.

To say I’m glad that cash-rich players are suffering or managers are in the realms of going into meltdown would be a bit strong.

What I will say is that payback’s a female dog.
