I’VE been soul searching this weekend; because Spurs performances have increasingly made it difficult to remain positive.

What do I say this week?

How do I keep the heads of the grieving high, while suppressing the oestrogen and testosterone levels of others?

Defeat at Loftus Road was made even harder because I was in west London, surrounded by QPR fans.

And what a bunch of lemmings some of them were! I know a huge R’s fan that’d cringe at the way his brethren behaved and others who no longer go to games because of the racism, sexism and homophobia displayed by fans sitting around them.

Supporting Spurs is a labour of love and writing this column has becomes part of that relationship. We’ve had a blip in our season and because of past failures it’s all the more painful but I still believe we’re moving forward. Will it mean change next season?

Let’s face it, probably.

Will Harry and Daniel Levy conspire to make sure we get the best deals possible for players and coach?

Definitely. Football’s a game primarily played and controlled by men who get paid handsomely for their efforts.

It means more to fans because we invest time, money and emotion but we should never lose sight of the things that make the world go round, like being better people. Sadly for some, football gives them an excuse not to be.

Tuesday’s game was mostly played in one half but I’ve got to say…

Well done Chelsea.
