SPURS FC: The Crow – Suddenly, watching Spurs on TV is not such a turn-off

FOR me, having to sit and watch my beloved on television instead of in the stands is a stressful business.
Spurs’ 3-1 win against an impressive Swansea team took me through variable emotions.
I’ve often commented about how unreasonable football supporters can be when their team doesn’t win and as level headed as I profess to be, I’m no different.
On Saturday I didn’t listen to any of the scores and it was a friend who informed me that Arsenal had lost to QPR, which made Sunday’s game all the more important.
Emmanuel Adebayor has owed us a goal for a while now and boy didn’t he deliver.
He’s endured much abuse as an ex-rival and when he scored our third I leapt up punching the air as if I’d scored.
Suddenly the world wasn’t such a bad place, food tasted sweeter and I was able to converse with all around me in a more lucid fashion.
That outpouring of emotion filled me with renewed hope for what is going to be a topsy-turvy end of season battle for Champions League places.
In terms of the arguments surrounding the Chelsea semi-final fixture and lack of foresight by the FA in not making it earlier to give them a better chance in Europe, I’ll say this: If it were my team, I’d be as upset as most of you are but it’s not, so bottom line…
Shut up and get on with it.
