SPURS FC: The Crow – The mistakes made by referees that could cost jobs at relegated clubs

THERE’S so much to say but very few words to say it in.

Congratulations to Manchester City, you were the best team this season.

Well done to Arsenal, although we gave you every encouragement through the latter part of the campaign, you still had to do it.

To be fair it was an amazing final day as emotions all over the country reached crisis point.

There’s been some great footage of tears, anger and sheer joy as dreams were realised and worst case scenarios came to pass.

However, the beautiful game was sullied at the weekend, first by an idiot that I won’t give any more publicity to and secondly by yet more blatant refereeing mistakes.

Livelihoods will be lost at Bolton because of incompetence personified, yet again, by… wait for it, Chris Foy.

He’s the same ref that caused controversy when Spurs lost at the same venue.

Why’s he still employed?

And why’s he still employed at Stoke games?

I do not grieve for the players; their relegation will be smoothed over by transfers and loyalty payments.

No, I talk about the community workers, coaches, cleaners, trainees, tea men and women who breathe the club.

I grieve at the pulse of the community-becoming surplus to requirements because the men in black are not up to their jobs.

I’ll finish with a sincere thank you to readers from all football and non-football persuasions and those that I’ve met throughout the year for your opinions and kind words.
