SPURS FC: The Crow – Happy New Year But Spurs Still Have Bragging Rights

AS the year ends, I want to wish all readers health and happiness for 2012. That said,  let’s get down to the business of teams, bragging rights and other stuff.

Teams: Tottenham are exciting, powerful, skillful and entertaining: enough said! Bragging rights: five points above Arsenal with a game in hand: enough said!

Now, let’s get down to the other stuff.

Last week’s match against Chelsea showed again the frailties of football officials.

At the end of this 1-1 draw, Chelsea celebrated like they’d won the Premier League.

Oh how the mighty have fallen.

Although Manchester United won this weekend, it’s been a good holiday period with all around us dropping points.

However, with the winter months still to come, I’m not going to get too carried away.

There is, however, a warm feeling engulfing my body – and it’s not the mulled wine!

With Spurs doing what they needed to do at Norwich on Tuesday and coming away 2-0 winners, a top four finish is not beyond the realms of possibility.

But what makes the win even sweeter is the knowledge that vast amounts of Chelsea and Arsenal supporters would have been tuned into that game, praying that the mighty Lilywhites would drop points. 

Frankly, I thought the chants of “there’s only one team in London” were a bit harsh from Spurs supporters. I mean, there’s Barnet, Enfield…
