YOUNGSTERS flocked to Hampstead Heath for the chance to take part in a tag rugby festival. 

Organised by the Camden School Sport Partnership (CSSP), the action-packed event saw boys and girls from six primary schools go head-to-head in a series of fun matches last Tuesday. 

The confidence-building competition saw New End School from Hampstead capture the Tag Rugby Cup, while children from Primrose Hill School won the Tag Rugby Plate. 

CSSP development manager Ian Warren said: “I would like to thank the RFU development officers James Cooper and Pete Ward for providing referees and leaders from Coram’s Fields to help officiate on the day and volunteers from Hampstead Rugby Club who helped prepare and coach the children.”
