SOMERS Town FC’s newest recruits have hit the ground running after winning the Enfield FC Five-a-Side Championships on Saturday. 

The Under-10s side stormed through the group stages before beating Waltham Abbey 3-0 on penalties thanks to clinical and composed spot kicks from Kenny Harris, Hussain Senturk and Given Mbuima.

Goalkeeper Michee Mungenga also played his part with a crucial save in the shoot-out after the game had ended goalless in normal time. 

Hotshot Harris then scored twice in the final as the Somers shiners beat hosts Enfield Youth 2-1 to get their hands on the prestigious trophy.
