Some politicians seem detached from the real world

• WHAT is it about Camden Council that makes it the testing ground for aspiring national politicians of all parties?
Most recently councillors Danny Beales and Siân Berry appear to have abandoned their commitments to the voters of the Camden Council wards they were elected to represent and committed themselves to the voters of Uxbridge and Brighton including residing or committing themselves to spending most of their time there.
In Siân Berry’s case it would appear to be a three-way split between Camden Council, the London Assembly and Brighton.
In the real world of work, from which our elected politicians appear to be increasingly detached, none of us would be in a position to say to our employer, “I’m going to apply for another job but I’m not resigning just yet, I’m going to devote some of the time I should be working for you to preparing for, and committing myself and my time to my prospective new job”.
Just another example of our elected representatives’ belief in an entitlement to different and preferential standards from the rest of us.
