Camden councillor Danny Beales

• THE Times on Monday July 24 quoted Camden Council cabinet member Danny Beales as saying “ULEZ is bad policy. It must be rethought” and he complained that he had been “cut off at the knees” by his own mayor.

But the London mayor’s policy was clearly set (and supported by Camden) well before Danny Beales was selected as a candidate for Uxbridge and South Ruislip.

Has Mr Beales determined that Camden Council has now “U-turned” on the London Mayor’s admirable ULEZ, ultra low emission zone, air quality improvement policy?

We should be told.
