So, Sir Keir, ‘every Jew will count…’?

• CAMDEN Palestine Solidarity Campaign spell out the sheer anti-Palestinian racism of the Israeli ambassador Tzipi Hotovely, Labour Friends of Israel (LFI) and also Labour Party leader, Sir Keir Starmer, (We read the text of Sir Keir’s speech with dismay, November 25).

At LFI’s annual lunch, Sir Keir said: “under my leadership… every Jew will count”: within a matter of days, Jewish Wirral Labour councillor Jo Bird had been expelled.

So does Sir Keir mean that only every right-wing and Zionist Jew counts, that in fact they should be in charge of Labour policy?

Does he mean that every left-wing and anti-Zionist Jew counts for nothing and if they are Labour members should be expelled?

This year alone Israeli forces have arrested 1,149 Palestinian children, two-thirds of whom have been subjected to physical torture; since 2005 Israelis killed at least 1,000 Palestinian children in Gaza; contaminated water, mainly due to Israel’s prolonged siege and bombardment of Gaza, causes 12 per cent of the deaths of young children.

Last week the Israeli journalist Gideon Levy concluded his article in Haaretz with the tragic “O Israel, the killers of children and teenagers”.

Does Sir Keir mean that Palestinian lives count for nothing, and the killing and torture of Palestinian children is to be hidden or ignored; and does his silence mean complicity?

All four major political parties in England, Labour, Conservative, Liberal Democrat and Green, subscribe to the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance misdefinition of anti-Semitism – deliberately conflating anti-Semitism with anti-Zionism – making Zionism national policy, whatever party you vote for.

Given the shocking fact that Jewish members of the Labour Party are, at this moment, five times more likely to be accused of anti-Semitism, it is no surprise that social media point out that more Jewish people have been expelled by Labour under Sir Keir than in the party’s entire history.

According to Sir Keir, “Every Jew will count” – but only if they support apartheid!
