So much for actual consultation on Queen’s Crescent

Would Camden be so good as to show market traders, shopkeepers and residents exactly what is being proposed for Queen’s Crescent
• NEIGHBOURS are hearing anecdotally that plans are finally afoot to begin works on the “regeneration” of Queen’s Crescent, apparently beginning with the resurfacing of the road and shifting left and right of the very poorly advertised and mismanaged market.
The regeneration has been decades in the decision-making, with teams of “consultants” employed over and over again but with the outcomes cloaked in silence, to be subject
to yet more hugely expensive consultations.
Would Camden be so good as to show market traders, shopkeepers and residents exactly what is being proposed via these pages? These have not been presented and no final “edit” approved. So much for actual “consultation”.
In the meantime, despite the years of very obvious neglect, Queen’s Crescent is thriving, holding a twice-weekly market, friendly, useful and very cheap independent shops, with zero automation or online loyalty cards required.
We also have a post office and library, hairdressers galore and an opticians. Plus the fabled Franks Stores and copious amounts of fresh fruits and vegetables at rock-bottom prices.
