Skipper takes lead for Boot’s big win

SKIPPER Pete Morris led The Boot to the biggest win of the night in the Chalk Farm Pool League on Monday as they handed Slattery’s Squatters their first defeat of the season. 

The King’s Cross-based side romped to a 7-2 victory to make it two wins out of three in division two. 

Peckwater TA are the early pacesetters after beating Zombies 6-3 to open up a three-point lead at the top of the table and become the only side in the division still boasting a perfect record. 

In the top flight newly-promoted Boston Old Skool are the surprise leaders after they made it three wins out of three with a 6-3 victory over POW Dynamos. 

The King’s Cross Hurricanes have also won all three of their games, beating Golden Lion 6-3 in their latest outing to move within a point of the leaders. 

Defending champions Sir Robert Peel are fourth following their 6-3 win over Boston Rimmers, six-points off the pace.
