WITH just two fixtures left to play in the Blackball Eastern Region League calendar the Central London ‘B’ team still (pictured above) have it all to play for.

The talented side, made up of some of top players from across Camden and Islington, took another step on Sunday towards qualifying for the National finals when they beat Essex 19-17.

Captain Alp Sezer led by example as he showed his side how to handle the pressure.

Having snookered himself on the penultimate yellow, he skilfully sent the cue ball off the side cushion to pocket the yellow and leave himself an easy black for the win.

Meanwhile, Central London’s Senior ‘A’ team convincingly beat their Essex rivals 18-7 to all but guarantee the team a place in the National finals in March.

Senior’s skipper Mark Piercey who lives in Kentish Town had double the reason to celebrate after he helped the England ‘B’ team beat Scotland 13-8 in the European Blackball Associations Nations Cup final, which was held in Malta.

The Central London women’s team are looking for new players. Anyone interested should call 07957 134660 for a trial.
