THE football pitches at Market Road in Islington will host one of Haverstock Girls’ biggest games of the season later this month after they secured a showdown against south London’s Elmgreen in the third round of the London Schools Girls Cup.
The Under-14 side from the secondary in Chalk Farm stormed past Camden rivals UCL in the second round at Regent’s Park on Tuesday – courtesy of a blistering performance in front of goal. A single strike from Rachel Butler was all that separated the sides at half time.
Gabriel Madeira-Biscotto stole the show in the second half with a stunning hat-trick. Butler then scored her second before Njomza Bashkurti wrapped up a resounding 6-0 victory.
