Silly reasons have been given by Camden for not providing necessary mobility aids
Thursday, 2nd March 2017
• EITHER the Camden Council spokesman quoted (Pensioners’ lonely hell, February 23) lives in a different world or he lives in this world but doesn’t know what he is talking about, or even more likely, he does know what he is talking about but he is deliberately trying to mislead the public.
Those adaptations and mobility aids designed to “to allow people to stay in their own home” very often become unavailable when the council invents a stupid and silly reason for why it cannot provide them.
And it will not elaborate on that reason because “it has given that matter more time than it deserves”.
Senior councillors are aware of such deliberate policy but they keep quiet because it saves money.
Senior and less senior officers are aware, as well, but they risk losing their jobs if they speak out.
I am ready to be challenged by the council on the above, but only if I am challenged on a variety of other allegations that I made previously.
