Green councillor Sian Berry

• SIÂN Berry’s article (A privilege, the most rewarding job of my life, October 19) was admirable for her praise for colleagues from other parties.

She has served Camden Council well for a decade as a most effective opposition councillor and she is a loss to Camden.

But she did the honourable thing by standing down to concentrate of fighting for a seat in parliament.

Contrast this with under-performing councillor Danny Beales, who clings to his cabinet responsibility for “new homes, jobs and community investment” and overseeing the council’s deplorable planning performance.

Shame on him.
