SHELLEY Kerr has warned FA Cup semi-final opponents Liverpool that they will be facing a “wounded animal” at Anfield on Friday.

The Gunners are still reeling after being knocked out of the Women’s Champions League on Sunday.

They lost the second-leg of their semi-final tie against VfL Wolfsburg 2-1 in Germany, suffering a 4-1 defeat on aggregate.

Refusing to dwell on the disappointment Kerr who replaced Laura Harvey as Arsenal Ladies manager in February, said: “For me, the best way to bounce back is in an important game like the semi-final of the FA Cup.

“It’s a competition that eluded us last year. As a footballer the best thing when you’ve suffered disappointment is to get back on the pitch and make things right.

“It doesn’t come much bigger than the FA Cup semi-final and I’m sure that the girls will be ready to go for that.

“There’s nothing worse than playing a wounded animal and maybe that’s what we are just now.”
